I have had two horses with Fiona and I can't say how impressed I have been with the knowledge, treatment and honesty that you get. Fiona is someone that genuinely loves her horses and it is a refreshing change. I would recommend Fiona to anyone that has a horse that needs treatment, recovery, foaling and pre training.

The only problem is that once the horse has recovered, trying to find a trainer that cares as much is a big issue.

Ratty, our racehorse went to Fiona for rest and pre-race training following his transition from Flat to National Hunt racing. He returned to his trainer reinvigorated, fit, and well schooled. To our delight he was placed three times in his next four races. Sadly, at Market Rasen he sustained a potentially fatal injury when he struck into the lower palmar metacarpus of his right front leg.

The trainer’s belief that Fiona could save Ratty meant that as soon a he was able to travel he went to Lawnhead.. With ultrasound, homeopathic medication and a lot of TLC he recovered and went to the Riding Stables at the Berkshire College of Agriculture. Regrettably his damaged leg weakened there and he returned to Fiona to work her magic again.

Once sound, Ratty and I were reunited and now enjoy hacking around the Chilterns and gentle schooling. It is eighteen months since Ratty left Fiona’s care and our contact has continued with my every call for advice being generously answered. If only everyone offered such after sales service!!

Fiona is the next best thing to looking after your animals yourself. All the animals in her care are happy and relaxed and they are exercised and fed according to their needs. She has a good team behind her and an excellent Vet and Farrier. No animal will be better cared for.

Her Vet also recognizes Fiona’s expertise and is confident to let Fiona treat the animals in her care when ever necessary to save expense to the owner. There is a monthly report on what the animal has received in treatment and attention over the month and the accommodation is second to none. Indeed a 7*+ hotel. Every penny is accounted for and when you receive the bill you know your money has been wisely spent and that your animal is in the best of hands. Fiona also has the expertise of a professional jockey in her partner David Verco. What more could you wish for?
